Crispy Thin-Base Margherita Pizza

  • 200g ready-made pizza dough
  • 4 tablespoons tomato pesto or pizza sauce
  • ½ ball burrata
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • Olive oil to drizzle

    Preheat the oven to 190°C fan assisted / 210°C / Gas Mark 7.

    On a floured surface, roll the pizza dough into a 26cm x 20cm oblong shape.

    Place the dough on the Baking Tray – do not grease or line.
  • 4
    Spread the red pesto or pizza sauce over the base, leaving a 1cm border uncovered all the way around. Tear the burrata into pieces and place over the pesto or sauce.

    prinkle with oregano and leave to prove for 30 minutes.

    Place in the hot oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until the crust is a deep golden.

    Remove the pizza from the tray, drizzle with olive oil, and cut into squares.
 
Cooks Tip:
The pizza may be topped with your own choice of ingredients like chorizo, ham and peppers. If burrata is not available, a good quality buffalo mozzarella can be used. Please do not cut on the baking tray.
